The Law and Business Student Association at Toronto Metropolitan University will host an in-person roundtable featuring UNU-INWEH's researchers and policy experts. The event will explore how global environmental research and policy shape communities, influence career pathways, and inform the future of sustainability governance.

The roundtable will be convened and moderated by Dr. Shokouh Abadi (Rule of Law & Human Rights Policy Fellow, UNU-INWEH; Law & Business Faculty, TMU).

Roundtable Theme

How Global Environmental Research and Policy Shape Communities, Careers, and the Future

Through an interdisciplinary discussion, panelists will examine the intersection of science, governance, law, business, and sustainability transitions. The session will highlight how international research institutions contribute to evidence-based policy development and how students can engage with emerging global challenges in water, health, climate resilience, and environmental justice.
