A Discussion on Art for Environmental Justice at Mbare Art Space in Harare

Unlocking the power of art to fight consumerism, inequity and pollution.

The United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health (UNU-INWEH), in partnership with the Embassy of Canada to Zimbabwe will host a panel discussion at Mbare Art Space in Harare, Zimbabwe, exploring how art can drive environmental action and justice.

Featured speakers will include renowned Zimbabwean artist Moffat Takadiwa, art curator and researcher Laura Ganda, and UNU-INWEH Director Prof. Kaveh Madani, moderated by Sogol Jafarzadeh, UN and Government Relations Coordinator at UNU-INWEH.

The event will conclude with closing remarks by H.E. Ambassador Adler Aristilde, Ambassador of Canada to Zimbabwe and High Commissioner to Malawi and Botswana

The event aims to highlight the power of creative expression to inspire awareness, challenge consumerism, and promote equitable and sustainable futures.
