María Nathalia is PhD Fellow at UNU-MERIT.
She is an economist from Colombia and holds a Master's degree in Development Studies with a Major in Social Policy for Development from the Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of the Eramus University Rotterdam. During her master's degree she also completed a specialisation in econometrics for development studies. She did her internship in the statistical office of the Human Development Report (UNDP) and then worked as a research assistant at UNDP Colombia. She has been a research assistant and junior researcher on poverty, inequality and subjective well-being topics. She is co-founder of PODES (@PobrezaDesigual).
