In celebrating the UN's 80th Anniversary and the UNU's 50th Anniversary, UNU Macau is launching a multi-day, three-pillar event series from October 23–25, 2025.
Pillar 1: UNU Macau AI Conference 2025
Theme: AI for Humanity: Building an Equitable Digital Future
Held on UN Day, this high-level conference convenes global thought leaders, researchers, and policymakers to explore how AI can serve sustainable development, particularly in the Global South. It reinforces the UN’s Global Digital Compact and the modernization goals of UN 2.0, promoting digital technologies for sustainable development.
Pillar 2: AI Education Day
This dynamic program includes masterclasses, youth workshops, and a Model UN simulation. It embodies the UN’s commitment to meaningful youth engagement, especially with the youth community in Macau and the Greater Bay Area, and showcases Macau’s leadership in digital education and regional cooperation.
Pillar 3: AI for SDGs — Global Youth AI Future Innovation Competition 2025
Theme: AI for the Environment: Ecological Environment and Green Transition Challenges
This global competition highlights youth-led solutions for climate resilience and green innovation. A special UNU Macau Prize celebrates local talent, reinforcing the Institute’s dedication to Macau engagement and its role as a platform for youth-driven impact.
