DESCRIPTION
In 2015, 193 UN member states translated their vision for a better world into 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - a comprehensive blueprint for our common future - offering a roadmap to a more just, inclusive, and sustainable future by 2030. Today, we are all coming to the decisive phase with only 5 years left to achieve the goals. Innovative ideas and prompt actions are essential to accelerate the achievement of SDGs.
To enhance public understanding of 17 SDGs and stimulate actions for a sustainable world, the United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau) will host a game-based learning workshop for Macau students on 25 October 2025. Through interactive gameplay and collaborative activities, participants will explore the historical origins of the SDGs and collectively develop actionable ideas to drive meaningful social progress. As part of UNU Macau AI Education Day event, the workshop also aims to inspire participants’ critical thinking about leveraging advanced technologies, such as AI, to empower themselves to think creatively, act locally and better align with global and systematic efforts to build a sustainable future for all.
This event is part of the UNU Macau AI Education Day, which underscores the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in shaping the future of education, research, and social innovation. Focusing on the intersection of AI, education, and innovation, the event provides a platform for diverse discussions that inspire global collaboration, spark new ideas, and equip the next generation with essential skills.
