Highlights from the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference

The 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP29) was held in Baku, Azerbaijan on 11–24 November 2024. It brought together leaders from governments, businesses and civil society to address the deepening climate crisis. 

COP29 concluded with the adoption of a new global climate finance goal, with developed nations pledging at least $300 billion annually to contribute to the global fight against climate change.
