Join the International One-Health Conference team for a timely debrief session on "Integral Ecology as a Light to Foster the One-Health Approach," reflecting their active participation in COP30 Belém's health-focused dialogues.

One Health concept integrates human, animal, plant, and ecosystem health to combat food insecurity and climate threats—directly advancing SDGs 3 (Health), 6 (Water), 2 (Hunger), 13/14/15 (Climate/Life), and 17 (Partnerships) through resilient, cross-sectoral platforms.

At COP30 (Belém, Brazil, November 2025), One Health emerged as a "central pillar" in the Belém Health Action Plan (BHAP)—launched by Brazil/WHO/and other actors and agencies—mobilizing countries to embed health in Paris Agreement adaptation (Article 7).

UNU-CRIS's Nature, Climate & Health cluster, led by Dr. Nidhi Nagabhatla, unpacks critical nexuses, informing gender-responsive policies that align with this agenda, and in this session, she will join global experts to explore COP30's One Health governance advances—surveillance financing, Indigenous knowledge integration, and decolonized approaches—transforming "Implementation COP" commitments into equitable climate action.
