Alex Hunns is a researcher in the social protection unit, focusing on humanitarian social protection.
Alex has worked as a social protection researcher at UNU-MERIT for the last seven years. His work has involved conducting (impact) evaluations in Kenya, Malawi and an on-going project in Afghanistan. In addition, he been actively engaged in analysis projects in Serbia and Moldova. In addition to project-based research, Alex writes on refugee camps and the delicate relationship between humanitarian aid and social protection.
