The United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau) is pleased to announce the first program release for the upcoming UNU Macau AI Conference 2025, a flagship event commemorating the 80th anniversary of the United Nations and the 50th anniversary of the United Nations University (UNU).
Scheduled for October 24, 2025 (UN Day) at the Galaxy International Convention Center, the conference will convene over 500 participants from academia, government, industry, and civil society to explore the theme “AI for Humanity: Building an Equitable Digital Future.”

Thematic Scope
The conference will offer a panoramic view of how AI intersects with education, youth, health, finance, law, entrepreneurship, and much more. Sessions will focus on bridging principles and practice—advancing inclusive policymaking, institutional design, capacity building, and measurement frameworks that translate research into equitable outcomes for diverse communities, especially across the Global South.
Designed to foster inclusive dialogue, shared strategies, and actionable outcomes, the UNU Macau AI Conference 2025 serves as a platform for co-creating a fairer, more resilient digital future. The event is guided by the UN Global Digital Compact and UN 2.0, and will bring together policymakers, researchers, educators, youth innovators, and civil society leaders.
