UNU-INWEH Director Professor Kaveh Madani delivered a keynote address via video at the UNESCO–ASEF Intergenerational Dialogue on Science Diplomacy, held on 23 October in Jakarta, Indonesia, as part of the Asia-Europe Youth Summit on Science and Technology Diplomacy 2026. The dialogue brought together young leaders, researchers, policymakers and international experts to explore how science and technology can address global challenges, inform policymaking and strengthen international cooperation. A key focus of the event was the Asia-Europe Youth Communiqué on Science and Technology Diplomacy 2026, developed by summit participants and outlining six pillars and 25 recommendations to advance science diplomacy. Prof. Madani's participation reflected UNU-INWEH's commitment to bridging science and policy, fostering international collaboration and supporting youth engagement in addressing global sustainability challenges.
