The second quarterly meeting of the Greening Education Partnership (GEP) Working Group for 2026 will share important updates and networking opportunities for working group members. The meeting will discuss:
- GEP-wide developments and learnings
- Breakout sessions aligned with the four pillars of action: Greening Schools, Greening Curriculum, Greening Teacher Training and Education Systems’ Capacities, and Greening Communities.
- Focus on the thematic working group on Higher Education.
UNU-IAS and members of the Global RCE Network will participate and present at the Greening Communities session.

Background
The Greening Education Partnership is a global initiative that takes a whole-of-system approach in supporting countries to tackle the climate crisis by harnessing the critical role of education. As a multi-stakeholder collaborative platform, GEP aims to deliver strong, coordinated and comprehensive action that will prepare every learner to acquire the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes to tackle climate change and to promote sustainable development.
