Portugal is continuing a partnership with the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV) to organize the third edition of the UN-Portugal Digital Fellowship focused on digital innovation and transformation.
The Fellowship, which had the first edition in November 2024 and the second in May 2025, is designed to continue in subsequent years, in line with both the objectives of the 2030 Agenda and the priorities of the 2030 Portuguese Development Cooperation Strategy.
It takes place annually at UNU-EGOV's premises, in Guimarães, Portugal, during five working days. The third edition will take place between 13th and 17th April 2026.
The envisaged participants of this Fellowship are high-level officials from developing countries and diplomatic officials at the Permanent Mission in New York. Seminar cohorts will be arranged to accommodate up to 30 in-person participants. Nominations are open until February 2nd 2026.
