Conrad Nunnenmacher is a PhD Research Fellow at UNU-MERIT since 2022. He conducts empirical research on the unforeseen side effects of development interventions, examining their impact on local communities and the environment using earth observation and survey microdata. Conrad holds an MSc in Public Policy and Human Development with specialization in Social Protection Policy from Maastricht University. His main research interests include development economics, social protection, and geospatial science. Conrad is working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Franziska Gassmann, Dr. Bruno Martorano, and Dr. Silvio Daidone.
