In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the United Nations (UN) and UN Day, United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau), the only UN organisation in Macau, opened its heritage office to the Macao public for the first time to raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and emphasise how everyone has an important role to play towards the achievement of the goals.

“We are very grateful to the Macao Government for generously hosting us in the past 30 years. We want to give back and connect to the Macao community more. For the first time, we are opening Casa Silva Mendes, our iconic neoclassical building, to our friends, partners, and the interested public, to celebrate together the 75th anniversary of the UN.  As the only UN organisation in Macao, we hope to become your reliable partner to advance the SDGs. We also strive to connect Macao to the world through research and technological innovations”, said Dr Jingbo Huang, Director of UNU Macau.
