Dr. Huang Jingbo, Director of the United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau), led a delegation to visit Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) in Xi'an on April 16. She was welcomed by NPU Party Committee Secretary Li Yanrong and Vice President Yue Xiaokui, who discussed ongoing and future cooperation between the two institutions.

During the meeting, Dr. Yue highlighted successful collaborations, including the participation of nearly one hundred NPU students in UNU Macau's AI training camps and conferences. He emphasized opportunities for deeper cooperation in areas such as student internships, joint doctoral supervision, and overseas graduation projects.
Dr. Huang expressed appreciation for the warm reception and outlined UNU Macau’s focus on digital technologies and sustainable development. She invited NPU faculty and students to engage in UNU Macau's international events, such as the UNU Macau AI Conference 2025, and discussed the potential for establishing a UNU-NPU hub for collaborative research.

Dr. Huang and Dr. Georgina Curto Rex, Senior Researcher and Team Lead at UNU Macau, also hosted a lecture on the United Nations system and career development, attended by NPU faculty and students.
This visit strengthens the growing academic partnership between UNU Macau and NPU, fostering future collaboration in research, education and talent exchanges.
