DESCRIPTION
WWF's unique contribution lies in bridging real-world conservation applications of AI with education. Across the WWF network, AI is already supporting species identification, biodiversity monitoring, coral reef assessment, deforestation detection, and the monitoring of illegal wildlife trade. By sharing these real-world examples, we can help learners engage with authentic conservation challenges and develop a balanced understanding of both the potential and the limitations of AI. Through Environmental and Sustainability Education, we strive to cultivate AI literacy, critical thinking, and responsible innovation, empowering young people to view AI not only as a productivity tool, but also as a force for environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
