SCIENCE TALK: Exploring the Intersections of Water-Use Habits and Adoption of Water-Efficient Technology

Insights from Cape Town, South Africa

Time
- America/Toronto
Details
Open to public

In light of the escalating climate change-induced drought conditions, households are increasingly adopting water demand management strategies to mitigate the impact. These strategies, aimed at reducing water consumption, are becoming crucial alongside traditional water supply management approaches. But in terms of preferences for water-efficient technologies, who are minimal adopters, pro-environmentalists, or non-adopters?

Join the UNU-INWEH Seminar Series on Wednesday, 08 May 2024, 10.00 – 11.00 am (Toronto/EST), as we explore what motivates water-saving behaviors, using a choice modelling framework to tease out valuable insights critical for ensuring sustainable water use and climate change resilience.
