Held in English, the event will bring together approximately 100–200 participants, including representatives from civil society, academia, and other stakeholders. Through a series of panel discussions, participants will examine how climate change deepens existing gender inequalities and affects women and other marginalised groups disproportionately.
The program may also include a dedicated discussion on the intersection of gender, climate change, and migration, highlighting how environmental pressures, socioeconomic inequalities, and human mobility interact across different contexts.
Nidhi Nagabhatla will contribute insights from her extensive research on climate-induced migration, the vulnerabilities of marginalized groups, and the links between climate change, gender, and human mobility. Her contribution will add an evidence-based, policy-oriented perspective to the discussion, highlighting the need for inclusive, gender-responsive, and rights-based approaches to climate action and migration governance.
