Some aspects that are useful for the advancement of biotechnology in Latin America and The Caribbean don't need to be taught in person. Moreover, webinars are an resource-smart way to disseminate the information among many that are not necessarily in the academic area but are pivotal for development, i.e. public policy makers. Webinars are therefore an excellent medium for coordination between the science and development community and the avenues for broader implementation.
