The United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau) has announced the appointment of Prof. Caroline Li to its Advisory Board, effective 1 September 2026 through 31 August 2030.
Prof. Li is Professor in Biomedical Engineering and Data Analytics at City St George’s, University of London. She serves as Chair of the IEEE UK & Ireland Computer Society Chapter, Co-Ordinator of the IEEE Computer Society in Region 8 (Area 2), and Chair of the IEEE Computer Society in Region 8 (Area 2) Committee, covering the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Denmark, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
With expertise spanning biomedical engineering, data analytics, and computer science, Prof. Li brings an interdisciplinary perspective to the Advisory Board. Her experience in academic research, professional networks, and international technology communities will provide valuable insights to UNU Macau as the Institute advances its work on digital technologies and their implications for sustainable development.
