UNU Macau and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies Meet on Collaborative Opportunities

UNU Macau and GDUFS met to explore collaboration, signing an MOU for internship programs and discussing joint research and education initiatives.

On March 26, 2025, the University of Macau (UNU Macau) hosted a delegation from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS), led by President Yan Xiangbin, to explore potential collaborations. The delegation included senior GDUFS representatives such as the Dean of the Graduate School, Director of the Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan Affairs Office, and Deans from various schools.

The meeting focused on potential joint research initiatives and academic exchanges, particularly in international cultural studies, language engineering, and digital economics. Both institutions also discussed future collaboration in training programs, joint research in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and the development of joint publications.

A key outcome was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Internship Collaboration, providing GDUFS students with valuable hands-on experience in international organisations. This agreement marks the beginning of a promising partnership between the two universities, furthering their shared goals in education, research, training and sustainable development.
