Due to the high number of applications received, only shortlisted candidates are being notified at this stage. We sincerely appreciate your interest in contributing to the conference and thank you for your understanding throughout the selection process.

The United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau) would like to thank all applicants for their continued interest in the UNU Macau AI Conference 2026 and for the strong response to the call for panelists.

Due to the substantial volume of expressions of interest and submissions received this year, the internal review process remains ongoing beyond the previously communicated timeline. The conference team is conducting a thorough assessment of all applications to ensure that each valuable submission is given due consideration.

At the same time, UNU Macau is working to increase the number of panels to provide more opportunities for outstanding and interesting panelists who have expressed their interest in participating in the conference. This additional planning and review process will allow the conference to accommodate a broader range of perspectives and contributions.

The selection results are now expected to be communicated in early September 2026. Applicants are kindly asked to allow the conference team additional time to complete the review and panel arrangements.

UNU Macau sincerely appreciates the patience and understanding of all applicants throughout the selection process. The strong interest in the conference reflects the growing engagement of researchers, practitioners, and experts in the discussions surrounding AI and education.
