UNU-IAS Operating Unit Ishikawa Kanazawa (OUIK) will be hosting the 19th SDGs Café event on the topic “Let’s Discuss How the Partnership for SDGs in Kanazawa City is Advancing” on 6 November 2021 at 10:00 – 11:30 JST.

Two and half years have passed since the IMAGINE KANAZAWA 2030 platform was established at Kanazawa City by the consortium of the Kanazawa City government, the Junior Chamber International Kanazawa, and UNU-IAS OUIK. Beginning with the formulation of the local SDGs action plan, “Kanazawa Future Visions”, the platform has assembled more than 160 members from business, organisations and individuals. The members learn from each other by exchanging their opinions and insights on region’s various issues and the activities of the members. How does such communication in the platform contribute to proceeding with SDGs? SDGs Café #19 will discuss it from the viewpoint of the collective impact – the concept that the joint actions of various stakeholders support in transforming the society.
