Background
Regional Centres of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCEs) are networks which facilitate sustainability learning and action in local communities. Together they form the Global RCE Network, a transboundary learning space for sustainable development.
Guided by principles of open communication, fair collaboration and mutual support, the RCE Regional Meetings provide opportunities to strengthen the RCE community at the regional level and enable members to exchange knowledge, develop partnerships and advance Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). The meetings foster cross-cultural, interdisciplinary, and multi-stakeholder engagement, where RCE members actively participate in the ideation, piloting and scaling of policies and practices that integrate sustainability into society.
