Nuno Barbosa is a Junior Research Assistant at the United Nations University (UNU-EGOV) since 2022.
He has previously contributed to the Operating Unit in projects related to capacity building for education and activity monitoring.
As a student, he was a co-founder and president at Young Minho Enterprise, a junior enterprise of the University of Minho. Prior to this position, he worked as a project manager, translator, digital marketer, and coordinator of volunteers in large scale events.
He is currently president at CIVITAS Braga, a nonprofit organisation for the Advocacy and Development of Civic Rights, and coordinates Beneficiary Logistics at Virar a Página, a volunteer-based emergency food aid organisation in Braga, Portugal, started during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is also an activist in movements focused on women’s rights, climate justice, and LGBTQIAP+ rights.
Nuno has a bachelor’s and post-graduation in Economics from the University of Minho, Portugal.
