Organised by Govardhan & GITMA
In collaboration with WHO GTMC, IPSF, IVAA, TCIH Coalition, and EUROCAM, with knowledge support from UNU-CRIS.
We recognize that traditional and Indigenous knowledge systems are vital to building inclusive, resilient, and sustainable health systems. These knowledge traditions, rooted in generations of practice and community wisdom, offer valuable perspectives that complement emerging healthcare approaches. Empowering youth to lead in this space is essential—not only for bridging intergenerational knowledge gaps, but also for fostering innovation, amplifying underrepresented voices, and ensuring that diverse medical practices contribute meaningfully to global health equity.
UNU-CRIS plays a crucial role in bringing together diverse knowledge systems and fostering dialogue across regions, disciplines, and governance levels. By supporting initiatives, platforms for exchange and collaboration, the Natyre, Climate and Health program at UNU CRIS, which I lead, aims to strengthen mutual understanding and promote integrated approaches to global challenges.
We believe that youth are key catalysts in this process, driving forward transformative ideas and sustainable solutions that align with the principles of equity, inclusion, and long-term resilience.
UNU-CRIS remains committed to advancing research, policy dialogue, and multilateral collaboration that elevate the role of traditional knowledge within global governance frameworks. Supporting youth engagement is central to our mission, as young leaders continue to shape the future of healthcare systems and advocate for more inclusive and holistic approaches.
