Naomi Mervó-Kovács is a Research Intern at UNU-CRIS.

She is contributing to the Economic and Political Interactions Cluster under the supervision of Glenn Rayp and Samuel Standaert. During her internship, she will primarily work on an analysis of within-EU labour mobility, examining the impact of the free movement of workers and services, including posting of workers and secondment arrangements, on labour market integration and regulatory convergence across EU member states.

She is pursuing the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's Degree in Economics of Globalisation and European Integration (EMJMD EGEI), studying at the University of Bari Aldo Moro (Italy), Ghent University (Belgium), and Xiamen University (China). Her academic interests lie at the intersection of international trade, EU economic and monetary policy, and labour mobility, with a broader interest in the quantitative dimensions of regional integration in Europe.

Naomi holds a double degree in Economics and Data Science with Honours from Central European University in Vienna, where she developed strong skills in econometrics, machine learning, and causal inference. She has also completed exchanges at the University of Toronto and the OSUN/Bard Summer Workshop in Public Finance and Economic Policy.
