Contributions of Migration to Development in the MENA

This online panel explored the contributions of migration to development in the Middle East and North Africa, specifically Jordan and Lebanon.

On International Migrants Day, UNU-CPR and the Institute for Migration Studies (IMS) at the Lebanese American University, in partnership with the MIDEQ Hub and the International Labour Organization (ILO) organized an online panel that explored the contributions of migration to development in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, focusing on Jordan and Lebanon more specifically. Speakers discussed how migratory practices have contributed, and continue to contribute to, development priorities and narratives in both contexts.
