Applications are being accepted until 31 October for the UNFCCC - UNU Early Career Climate Fellowship Programme. Beginning in 2018, this innovative programme has welcomed 32 young professionals from 21 countries, making it an attractive climate career kick-starter.
The programme specifically offers early career professionals from developing countries a unique opportunity to work at the interface between international climate policy development and research.
Fellowships may last from 12 months to two years, and fellows will be selected based on their skills and backgrounds, according to the needs of the United Nations University and the United Nations Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Upon completion, the Early Career Climate Fellows will be well-equipped and able to work in their home countries or internationally, deploying the valuable experience and insights they have gained in Bonn, Germany, where this fellowship is based. Academically outstanding young graduates from developing countries who are in the early stages of their careers, especially women from least developed countries, are highly encouraged to apply.
Please kindly note that we are unable to accept unsolicited applications and any applications submitted outside of the open call.
All applicants for the UNFCCC - UNU Early Career Climate Fellowship Programme should be aware that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted once the call has closed; due to the number of applications and enquiries received, we are, unfortunately, unable to provide individual feedback on applications submitted, including application status updates.
