This article highlights initiatives led by the youth who participated in the Global Youth MIDORI platform 2024, a joint programme by UNU-IAS and the AEON Environmental Foundation and introduces challenges of sustainable forest conservation in the Philippines and support measures taken by the student organization to the forest rangers.

Tsunakan is a Japanese journal published by the Global Environmental Outreach Centre (GEOC), focusing on global partnerships for the environment. The publication is part of a joint initiative by UNU-IAS and the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, under the GEOC project, supporting outreach activities to highlight the work of UNU-IAS in Japan and other countries.
