UNU Migration Network Research Symposium

On 24 September 2024, researchers working on migration from different UNU institutes around the world will come together at UNU-MERIT in Maastricht to exchange knowledge and ideas and develop future collaboration.

On 24 September 2024 at 10:00 - 18:00, researchers working on migration from across the United Nations University group of institutes will come together for the UNU Migration Network Research Symposium at UNU-MERIT in Maastricht. This is an excellent opportunity for UNU academic colleagues working in this field to connect, present their research, exchange knowledge and ideas and develop future collaboration.
 

During this symposium various topics will be covered, since there will be:

  • a panel session on Migration, Climate and Environment
  • a thematic session on (involuntary) immobility, 
  • a workshop to further discuss (the governance of) (involuntary) immobility (i.e. critical questions, research agenda and opportunities for further collaboration)
  • a thematic session on migrant inclusion and development
  • a workshop on methods and next steps
