Manisha Mukherjee is a PhD Fellow at UNU-MERIT.
My research focuses on climate change, female migration, and gender inequality in rural India. Before joining UNU-MERIT as a Doctoral Fellow, I worked as a Research Assistant in the Climate Change and Sustainable Development team at ICRIER in New Delhi. During my time there, I was involved in a project funded by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, focusing on designing policy recommendations for efficient municipal solid waste (MSW) management in the Indian Himalayan Region. I hold a bachelor's degree in Economics from Presidency University, Kolkata, and a Master's in Quantitative Economics from the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India.
