Through narrative and examples, Dr. Black will explore the state of infrastructure and water, with particular focus on small, rural and Indigenous communities. She will discuss how non-traditional approaches to engineering research and design vis-à-vis water can improve outcomes for communities.  Examples will be illustrated through exploration of processes that are driven by community, contextually relevant, and focused on health and wellbeing
