Susana Jorge is an Intern at the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU-IIGH).
Susana graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Aveiro in Portugal and is currently in the final year of her Master’s degree in Psychological Sciences at the University of Coimbra in Portugal.
Concurrently with her internship at UNU-IIGH, she is working on her master’s thesis which aims to provide a deeper understanding of the Social Representations of “feminism” and “feminists” in the democratic Portuguese parliamentary debates, as well as, to explore the personal and political experiences of leading figures in the history of feminism in Portugal in order to further delve into the evolution of this movement and ideology in Portugal.
Susana's research interests span a wide range of topics related to mental health and social psychology.
