Winners of Youth Art Challenge Announced

The 2023 RCE Youth Art Challenge focused on SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production).

UNU-IAS is pleased to announce the winning entries of the RCE Youth Art Challenge: From Waste to Art, held in partnership with UNESCO. Focused on the theme of SDG 12 (responsible consumption and production), participants were invited to submit artworks inspiring others to use resources more efficiently and reduce waste, as well as showcasing individual and community action on SDG 12.

The challenge, which is open to anyone aged 35 or younger, attracted entries from across the globe, with 212 submissions received from 34 countries. Entries included a range of mediums, such as craft work, paintings, sculptures, and digital art, with some using locally sourced waste.
