SDG–Universities Platform Featured in Spaceship Earth Interview

UNU-IAS Director spoke about SDG–UP, an alliance of Japanese universities for the advancement of the SDGs.

On 28–29 December 2021, UNU-IAS was featured on Spaceship Earth, an online platform promoting the SDGs. In an interview, Shinobu Yume Yamaguchi (Director, UNU-IAS) discussed the institute's SDG–Universities Platform, an alliance of Japanese universities for the advancement of the SDGs. She emphasised the importance of collaboration to strengthen Japanese universities' sustainability initiatives and their promotion in Japan and abroad, as well as the need to boost the presence of Japanese higher education. Prof. Yamaguchi also pointed out that each person should consider the global issues of the SDGs as their own, and expressed her hope that SDG–UP would develop into an international collaboration.
