Public Forum of the 8th IPSI Global Conference and Expert Thematic Workshop for Post-2020

This public forum will share the diverse experiences of International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (IPSI) members and other relevant stakeholders working on landscape approaches and socio-ecological production landscapes and seascapes (SEPLS) around the world. It will be held during the eighth global conference of IPSI, and in conjunction with an expert thematic workshop focusing on the incorporation of landscape approaches in the post-2020 global biodiversity framework.

In particular, this event aims to contribute to the post-2020 global biodiversity framework by providing an opportunity to incorporate voices from the general public.

Keynote speakers will include Kazuhiko Takeuchi (Senior Visiting Professor, UNU-IAS), and Caridad Canales Davila (Agro-Biodiversity and Inland Waters Officer, Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity).

Participation is free and simultaneous interpretation between English and Japanese will be provided.

This event is organised by the Secretariat of the International Partnership for the Satoyama Initiative (UNU-IAS). It is hosted by Ishikawa Prefectural Government, the Ministry of the Environment, Japan, and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
