UNU-IAS will organize an online information session for potential applicants to the 2026 Global Youth MIDORI platform (GYM). The session will explain the purpose and structure of the programme, and provide guidance on the application process. All potential applicants are strongly encouraged to attend.
GYM was jointly launched with the AEON Environmental Foundation in 2024 and aims to develop the knowledge and skills necessary for youth to meaningfully participate in international decision-making processes. It seeks to cultivate leaders who can drive transformative changes at both local and global levels toward the realization of a sustainable society. Participation & Registration
To participate, please register by 17 April 2026. A recording of the session will be made available for those registered participants who are unable to attend in real time.
Please note that participants in UNU events may appear in photography, screen captures, videos, and/or audio (see disclaimer).
Language
This event will be held in English only. A session in Japanese will be held on 16 April 2026.
About Global Youth MIDORI platform (GYM)
Launched jointly by UNU-IAS and the AEON Environmental Foundation, GYM cultivates young leaders who can drive transformative changes at both local and global levels toward the realization of a sustainable society. Through various learning and networking opportunities, it equips youth with the necessary skills and knowledge to meaningfully participate in international decision-making processes. 2026 GYM International Training Sessions will be held online on 4–7 August 2026.
