UNU at FFD4

FIBES Seville

The 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) will take place in Seville, Spain from 30 June to 3 July 2025.

The conference will address urgent implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, explore pathways to reform of the international financial architecture, and assess progress on agreements including the Monterrey Consensus, the Doha Declaration and the Addis Ababa Action agenda. 

UNU contributions at FFD4 will be key in helping countries and stakeholders accelerate and monitor progress on financing initiatives across issues ranging from climate change, environment, and labour, to technology and food security. 

Throughout FFD4, UNU institutes and experts will organize and participate in events in Seville and online, as well as contribute research commentary and publications.

UNU-CPR at FFD4

UNU-CPR’s engagement at FFD4 is grounded in the goal of turning policy commitments into practice. Through its events and research, UNU-CPR will offer concrete tools and policy proposals to address the structural challenges of sovereign debt and unlock opportunities through fiscal reform and data-driven solutions. 

UNU-WIDER at FFD4

UNU-WIDER will join critical discussions aimed at strengthening the global financial architecture and accelerating sustainable development in low- and middle-income countries. As part of its engagement, UNU-WIDER is hosting two high-level side events that address critical challenges related to the debt crisis and domestic resource mobilization.
