With COP28 coming to a close, this year’s climate summit was attended by a delegation of experts from several UNU-EHS divisions. In Dubai, they shared their expertise on climate issues like climate finance and loss and damage, as well as sustainable and just urban futures for all.

UNU Rector and Under-Secretary General of the United Nations Prof. Dr. Tshilidzi Marwala was featured in an article on Artificial Intelligence and its potential and challenges as a tool for climate action by Context (Thomson Reuters Foundation).
“Tackling issues will require finding better methods of training AI systems, and ensuring the systems run on renewable energy,” he said.
