Lina Rodriguez is a Research Associate at the Global Mountain Safeguard Research (GLOMOS) programme, a joint endeavor of UNU-EHS and Eurac Research. Her research explores how integrating Indigenous, local and scientific knowledge can enhance climate adaptation and disaster risk management, with a particular focus on the Andes and Himalayas.

Lina's work has often centered on combining Indigenous and local knowledge with climate science to improve how communities understand, trust and apply climate information in their decision-making. Lina has previously worked with the University of Geneva, the University of Zurich, the World Health Organization (WHO) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), as well as with community-led organizations. She has collaborated with government officials, NGOs, academics and community groups to support and advance efforts in climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction.

Lina is a PhD student at the University of Geneva, where she focuses her research on community-driven risk knowledge and actions, with the aim of bolstering resilience to the diverse impacts of climate change by integrating Indigenous, local, and scientific knowledge in the context of the Andes and Himalayas.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Bologna and a Master's degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Geneva.
