Objectives
The project, a collaboration between UNU-EGOV and Egypt's National Institute for Governance and Sustainable Development (NIGSD), is focused on producing a white paper on innovation labs working to advance sustainable development. The goal is to conduct a state-of-the-art overview of selected innovation labs from diverse contexts in order to deepen NIGSD and other public sector entities' understanding of a specific modality and/or tool used by various stakeholders to promote and advance sustainable development, with a particular focus on civic, social, and technological innovations and interventions. The white paper aims to provide actionable insights and recommendations to inform the development of NIGSD's first innovation lab prototype or pilot and to support innovation lab scholars, practitioners, and policymakers in implementing policies and practices to more effectively leverage innovation labs to promote sustainable, equitable, and values-based innovation and development.

Deliverables
White paper examining innovation labs as a tool to advance sustainable development.
