UNU-EGOV Starts New Project with Saudi Arabia to Evaluate Digital Government Performance

The project analyses digital indicators to measure and evaluate the maturity level of digital government performance.

The project “Excellence in Digital Transformation Internationally” has been launched to support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in conducting a comprehensive analysis of digital indicators to measure and evaluate the maturity level of digital government performance.

Implemented in close collaboration with the Digital Government Authority, the project focuses on developing improvement methodologies and assessment frameworks to guide the enhancement of indicator performance. Building on analytical findings, it will support the definition of measurable targets aligned with international digital indicators.

The work encompasses a set of analytical and strategic activities, including a study on the impact of artificial intelligence in enhancing the Kingdom’s ranking in digital indicators; the analysis of digital indicators for measuring digital government maturity; and the development of an improvement methodology, an assessment framework, a detailed roadmap and well-defined initiatives.

Additionally, it foresees the preparation of technical content for participation in international indicator-related workshops, the production of reports on digital government achievements and their link to international digital indicators, and the review of policies and regulatory frameworks related to international digital indicators.

The project is managed by Zoran Jordanoski, who coordinates its implementation in close cooperation with national stakeholders.
