Mariana Lameiras, Senior Research Analyst, participated as an invited speaker in the seminar “Open Government Data: Challenges and Applications”, held at the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho in Braga.

The event was part of the “Cities, Data and Journalism” seminar series, a collaborative initiative organised by ICNOVA/Obi.Media (NOVA University), CECS (University of Minho), LabCom (University of Beira Interior) and SOPCOM’s working group on Policies, Regulation and Media Economy.

Focusing on the legal and institutional implementation of open data in Portugal, the seminar brought together students, researchers and practitioners to examine the practical challenges and policy perspectives of open government data, especially in the context of journalism and transparency.
