Biographical Statement 
Lucas Rabaey worked as an assistant at the Department of Economics at Ghent University. His research focused on the effectiveness of regional organisations. More specifically, he analyses the effects of de jure integration on trade, investment and migration flows between countries. This research was conducted under the supervision of Glenn Rayp and Samuel Standaert.

Lucas holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics and Literature and Economics, both from Ghent University. His final thesis was on fiscal policy and the environment in an overlapping generations model.
