The 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change convened in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 30 November – 12 December 2023.
UNU contributions to COP28 were key in helping countries and stakeholders understand how we must accelerate action to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, and how we can ensure vulnerable populations are prioritized in mitigating and adapting to the impacts of climate change.
Throughout COP28, UNU experts organized and participated in events in Dubai and online, as well as contributed research commentary and publication highlights.
