Rodrigo Ito is a Postdoctoral Fellow at UNU-MERIT and Maastricht University.
Rodrigo holds two PhDs: one in Science and Technology Policy from the University of Campinas and another in Economics from Maastricht University. His work is at the intersection of public policy, innovation, economics of science, and development economics. Specifically, he investigates international scientific mobility and innovation surveys. He applies quantitative and qualitative methods in his research.
During his PhD, Rodrigo has worked as a lecturer at Maastricht University and as an external consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank.
