Chen Gong is a PhD Fellow at UNU-MERIT/ School of Business and Economics at Maastricht University. Her research interests concern the labor market structural change as a result of technological development and its influence on income and social welfare inequality.
Chen Gong was born and raised in Dalian, China. She holds a Master of Public Finance Administration from the University of Georgia in the U.S., a Master of Science in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University, specializing in social protection policy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, with a focus on social stratification study.
Before moving to Maastricht, Chen gained extensive experience working with international organizations in the United States, Switzerland, and Thailand as a project and policy officer. Her research interests focus on labor market structural changes due to technological development and their impact on income and social welfare inequality.
