Pui Hang Wong is a research associate at UNU-MERIT and an assistant professor at Maastricht University.
His research focuses on various global development issues, including conflicts, regional development, migration, sustainability, political economy, institutions, and human capital. He has contributed to projects commissioned and funded by the European Commission, UNDOS and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the UK Government. Dr. Wong has held visiting positions at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) and the Center for Economic Catch-Up at Seoul National University. He has interned at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
