Join the United Nations University Institute in Macau (UNU Macau), Grouphorse ESG Center (School of Foreign Languages, Southwest Petroleum University) and Shanghai Qibao High School Educational Group for an official side event at the 2026 ECOSOC Youth Forum, under the theme Culturally Responsive Leadership and Youth Action: AI-Enabled Resilience and Sustainable Partnerships, in line with the forum’s vision “Innovate, Unite and Transform: Youth Shaping the Road to 2030”.

This side event aligns with the UN’s 2026 in-depth reviews of SDGs 6(Clean water and sanitation), 7(Affordable and clean energy), 9(Industry, innovation and infrastructure), 11 (Sustainable cities and communities) , and 17(Partnerships for the goals). It centers on Culturally Responsive Leadership to help youth bridge global goals and local realities, while leveraging AI and digital innovation as a catalyst for community resilience, risk forecasting and sustainable delivery.

Anchored in Culturally Responsive Leadership (CRL), this side event examines how young leaders translate global goals into locally grounded action. It uses AI-enabled data governance as an action accelerator for urban and community resilience, essential services, and risk communication, while highlighting youth-led approaches to turn short-term engagement into sustainable partnership networks.
